The existing space is inspected for structural suitability, closing the gap between an unimproved room and a code-compliant safe room. Work covers concrete block or steel-framed wall reinforcement, impact-rated door installation, anchor bolt placement, ceiling bracing, and a moisture barrier assessment.
Storm Shelter Inspection
Every functional component is inspected: door assembly, latch mechanism, gaskets, anchor bolts, ventilation, and wall condition. The check identifies hidden faults, corroded anchors, cracked seals, water intrusion, that leave a shelter looking intact while compromising its performance under storm conditions.
Storm Shelter Installation
Above-ground and underground shelter options are assessed against your specific yard, garage, or interior layout. An engineering-certified design is produced, with permit review and final inspection managed from start to finish.
Storm Shelter Maintenance
Maintenance follows a set sequence: inspecting and cleaning every component, treating rust, lubricating hinges and latch hardware, replacing degraded gaskets, and completing a door-close and latch-function test. Coastal South Florida’s humidity and salt air make annual maintenance more critical than in drier climates.

The door assembly, rubber seals, latch hardware, concrete walls, and floor drain are inspected to identify every fault. Targeted repairs, seal replacement, rust treatment, concrete crack patching, hinge realignment, are completed and verified with a final door-fit and water-intrusion check.
